Look at that smile. Riley finally got to open her gift of treats. :) She also got a new wooly man toy.

We had ham, green beans, cheesy potato casserole, and..
..some sweet/sour red cabbage given to us by our neighbor. As you can see Raeg was thrilled to try that. ha!

It's a Tradition

We walked around with our hot cocoa enjoying the musical lights display. It's a pretty spectacular sight and always helps build excitement for Christmas.

Christmas Package

Nana and Papa, we received the package you sent. Thank you for all of the yummy holiday goodies! The girls bolted out of the car when they saw the box waiting for them on the front porch. For Riley, it's business as usual... keeping guard over the gift you sent for her. She won't let anyone else near it now that she has sniffed it out.

Here is where she'll stay until realizing it's a long wait till Christmas morning. ha.

Our Disco Elves Family Video

Slumber Party with Katie

Katie's visit with Ash & Raeg yesterday turned into a sleepover.

They made yummy chocolate brownies..

And licked the bowl clean. ha

They had fun playing charades

They also played a game called "Sally Walker" where they had to copy each other's dance moves. That was pretty funny.

Can you guess what Ash is acting out here? lol

In the morning they played the American Girl game while waiting for breakfast.. Judging by the bedhead it was a pretty good night. ha!

Rita's Buckeyes

Here are the buckeyes we made. I was going to make two batches but nearly lost my right arm stirring the first batch. ha. Rita, thank you so much for the delicious recipe. They turned out great! ..A perfect Christmas treat for the girl's teachers. I didn't have any toothpicks, so I broke the prongs off of a plastic fork and used those instead. (it actually worked pretty well) We had just enough to put 9 in each container. I didn't make extra buckeyes for us because I knew we already have some made with our name on it.. :) We're looking forward to Monday's delivery. I also made snowball cookies (my favorite Christmas cookie) to fill in the gaps. The tins turned out pretty nice..

Thanks again for the recipe.

Orlando Trip - Random Photos

Our Hotel: Brad used his connections through work to get us an awesome deal at the Buena Vista Palace which is across the street from Downtown Disney. The head chef really took care of us with a spacious two room, two bath suite and discount dinner package at an incredible price.

Our first night we had dinner at the hotel. I was most impressed with the gator shaped butter they brought out for the rolls. (it's the little things that amuse me.. he he)

After dinner Raeg and I rode the glass elevator to the top while Ash & dad took the stairs.

At downtown disney the girls made their traditional flavored sugar candy sticks.

Dad and Raeg created their own thrill ride at Epcot while Ash and I (Team Tink) raced to put trash in it's proper place.

..more cool games at Spaceship earth. I think I enjoyed this area the most.

building a human body with robotics and 3D

Ash & Goofy. Aren't they cute. :)

Our Snow White, always looking after the animals.

After games and rides we went to Norway

Mexico

United Kingdom

China

and Germany. All in one day. :) We sampled food from each country.. Nachos in Mexico, Pastries in France, Brats and pretzels in Germany, chocolate in Norway.. We stuffed ourselves silly.

Raeg held the famous Epcot ball

We had a really good time... a much needed trip .
